On Friday, the Huskies got behind quickly, surrendering 2 goals and having Josh Robinson replaced in net within the first 5 minutes of the game.  This seemed to jump start the huskies, as they responded by carry the play the remainder of the first period.  Ryan Furne added a power play goal, to make it 2-1.  It wasn't until the third that the Huskies would strike again, this time down 4-1 and Senior Alex MacLeod was able to get the puck last the netminder to get the home Huskies within 2, 4-2.  After a 5th goal, Mel Pearson decided to put Senior Corson Cramer in net for the remaining 10 minutes.  Cramer stopped all 4 shots he faced.  "We out chanced them, but you will not win many games when giving up 5 goals.  Our goaltending needs to be better than it was tonight," said Pearson.

Stick Salute

This week we salute all the Husky seniors.  Michigan Tech would not be in the position that the team is in now if not for the leadership shown by captain Brett Olson, assistant captain Jordan Baker, forwards Alex MacLoed and Bryce Reddick and Goaltenders Josh Robinson and Corson Cramer.  All seniors were able to log time this weekend and give the home fans one last chance to see them play at the MacInnes.  It has been an enjoyable year for all Michigan Tech fans and we have enjoyed all the time that each of these seniors have given us fans.  We here at THG say thank you and hope they can finish their senior year off with a home ice playoff series.
