Linkorama: Week 4

As the weeks in the hockey season progress, the Huskies are piling on new recruits and alumni keep raising their game in the professional ranks.  While the Huskies take a week off, we here at THG continue on.

Recruits

Canada East captain Michael Neville (Woodbridge, Ont./St. Michael’s - OJHL) gave his team some breathing room with a shorthanded goal with less than six minutes to go, sealing the victory, 4-2.

Tyler Heinonen scored two for the Waterloo Blackhawks (USHL), which were able to get a 3-2 win on Saturday.

Marcus Ericsson scored a goal and helped Des Moines (USHL) beat Heinonen and the Blackhawks.

Reid Sturos continued his hot streak, getting a point in each of the last three games (2 g, 1 a), helping the Nainamo Clippers (BCHL) to a 2-1-0 weekend.

Jake Kauppila and Coulee Region (NAHL) lost a pair on the weekend, but Kauppila had an assist in each game.

Travis Brown (Tri-City) and Jake Jackson (Waterloo) will be suiting up in the USHL this weekend before Minnesota High School hockey gets going later this month. Both Brown and Jackson also participated in the Midwest Elite league where Jackson was a leading scorer and Brown's team (Team NW) was the top seed after the regular season.

Alumni

Jordan Baker stays hot, banking 8 points in his last 6 games, helping his team to a 4-2-0 start.

Josh Robinson is one of the top goalies (8th) in the ECHL, with a .932 save percentage and a 2.21 goals against average.
