WCHA Web Media Poll: Week 8

For the first time this season three teams received first place votes.  Nebraska Omaha nabbed a top vote for the first time this season, but only rose one spot in the poll.  The other first place votes went to current leaders, Denver and Minnesota.  North Dakota rounds out the top three. Minnesota Duluth was the only program to climb more than a spot, jumping from 10th to 8th after taking 3 points from Michigan Tech, in Houghton. That showing in Houghton cost the Huskies two spots as they fall to 9th this week. Bemidji State also fell two spots after being swept by Minnesota State. This week's action gets started tomorrow as Michigan Tech heads to Northern Michigan to take on the Wildcats and then another full slate of conference matchups before thing start to slow down for winter break.
