After a split between Minnesota State and Bowling Green and another successful weekend for Michigan Tech in sweeping Lake Superior State, there is a new #1 team. After gaining points last week, Michigan Tech is now #1 this week, garnering seven first place votes. The only other switch is between Northern Michigan and Bemidji State. NMU swept Alaska Anchorage and climbs to fifth taking advantage of BSU's idle weekend. These two teams have flipped positions each week since the poll started.

This week concludes the WCHA non-conference schedule with BSU playing their makeup game with Minnesota-Duluth on Tuesday and Bowling Green hosting Miami on Friday. Beyond that, there are three conference series to possibly shake up the rankings. Northern Michigan travels to Ferris State in a series that could go a long way to determining final home playoff spot. Bemidji State will head from Duluth to the Soo to face Lake Superior State and Minnesota State travels to Alabama to face the Chargers in Huntsville.
