HOUGHTON, Mich.–Michigan Tech jumped out to a 3–0 lead, then surrendered the next 4 goals, and capped off the night with the final 3 goals to secure the weekend sweep.

Jordan Baker got a hat trick and an assist, Bryce Reddick scored 2 goals and Milos Gordic scored the game-winner midway through the third period.

The 12 goals on the weekend is what the fans and the team needed. Nice to go from one a game to six a game. This is the type of hockey all the Houghton, Hancock, Calumet, and surrounding area Michigan Tech fans have been hoping to see for years – finally! Hopefully the Huskies can continue on this path.

“A big four points,” said coach Mel Pearson. “We are back above five hundred in conference on the year, I don’t remember the last time we were there.”

Robinson played in net again, getting the win. Not his best performance, but enough for his team to get the win.

This also brings Michigan Tech into the talks about conference home ice and perhaps even NCAA tournament at-large bids. It’s a long way out, but the Huskies need to keep getting these results.

Michigan Tech will face Northern Michigan next weekend in their last non-conference game of the year. This will have tournament ramifications.
