It has been just over six months since we announced we would be shutting down Tech Hockey Guide due to the commitments that arise in life. In that time, the desire to relaunch THG has been driven by a group of passionate Michigan Tech hockey fans. Today is the day we’re relaunching with a brand new look and a retooled group of volunteers to bring content that expands on the already great coverage of Michigan Tech hockey.

THG welcomes Alex Slepak, our new Editor-in-Chief. Alex is a 2014 graduate of the Scientific and Technical Communication program at Michigan Tech. As Editor-in-Chief, Alex will review our writers’ work and ensure it meets a high standard of journalism.

Tech Hockey Guide Co-founder Tim Braun will continue to keep the pulse on the recruiting environment around Michigan Tech hockey. He will also provide series previews that uncover new ways our team and our upcoming opponents are performing heading into each weekend’s series.

Joining our writing staff are David Heiden, Rob Gilreath and Chris Nesbitt. Weekly, they’ll bring you in-depth articles that cover recruiting, alumni and wrap-ups of the previous weekend’s series. Now in retirement, Bob Gilreath will continue to bring quality photography from home games, and Ryan Johnson of Johnson’s Jerseys will be joining THG as our road photographer.

We look forward to the rest of this season of Husky hockey and the seasons to come. We have a number of exciting endeavors planned for Tech Hockey Guide in the future.

Go Husky Dogs,
