Michigan Tech is expected to announce the hiring of Jordan “Jordy” Murray as assistant hockey coach following the departure of Chris Brooks to Clarkson University.
Tech Hockey Guide was able to confirm the hire via the university’s Campus Directory.
A product of Shattuck St Mary’s he was a regular starter in three seasons for the University of Wisconsin, including in the 2009-10 Badger’s NCAA runner-up season. Following his amateur career Murray played several seasons in the National League in Switzerland before retiring.
Murray previously served as Volunteer Assistant Coach under Jeff Jackson at Notre Dame.
He is the son of former St. Louis Blues and Western Michigan Broncos head coach Andy Murray.
