Week 17 Media Poll Results

Only one team moved through the poll standings this week: Alaska dropped from 6th to 8th on the heels of a 5-2; 4-3 sweep by Michigan Tech in Houghton. All of this week's matchups seem lopsided enough to be unlikely to have a significant effect on next week's poll; MTU@FSU is the closest matchup by poll position.

Series Recap: Ferris State

After nearly a month without a game in Houghton, the Huskies were back in action against the bulldogs of Ferris State this weekend for two games in which a starting goalie didn't make it to the end of the game. A rough second period on Friday with three goals carried the Bulldogs to the win despite a comeback by Michigan Tech. Saturday's game started out positive for the visitors, but five unanswered Husky goals earned the weekend split for the home team.

Mid-Season Recap

With an off week for Michigan Tech, now is a good chance to take a look back at what has been about half of the season. The Huskies have already played 17 of their 37 games and half of their 28-game WCHA conference schedule.
